We have made it our mission to visit our local nursing homes once per month. Due to COVID-19 these regular events have been postponed indefinitely.
We gather non-perishable food for our local food bank. This food is usually delivered once a month. Due to Covid-19 this practice has been temporarily cancelled .
For the past several years, we have supported the Christmas Program which provides hampers to families who face challenging circumstances. Throughout the year donations may be made through the church to assist with the food bank, thrift shop and other services such as emergency housing. Please indicate in a message on your e-transfer or envelope the amount you wish to direct to this ministry.
The Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF) is the Anglican Church of Canada’s agency for sustainable development and relief. With the support of Anglicans across Canada, PWRDF partners with organizations working to increase healthy pregnancies and births, reduce gender inequality, relieve hunger and break the cycle of poverty in the world’s most vulnerable communities. Against a backdrop of climate change, PWRDF strives to address the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
PWRDF receives funding from Anglicans across Canada as well as non-Anglicans, Global Affairs Canada and other institutional donors. Our volunteers promote PWRDF programs in churches and communities, to raise money and awareness about the needs of vulnerable people around the world. Our staff in Toronto are careful stewards of these funds and work to ensure that development and relief programs are as efficient and effective as possible.
As an instrument of faith, PWRDF connects Anglicans in Canada to communities around the world in dynamic partnerships to advance sustainable development, to respond to emergencies, to assist refugees, and to act for positive change.
PWRDF is committed to working in diverse communities and does not proselytize in its work.
Donations may be made through the church to support this ministry. Please indicate in a message on your e-transfer or envelope the amount you wish to donate.
This fund was established after the death of a beloved member of our parish. Margie was a kind, compassionate woman who lived out her faith. Her generosity was well known. A portion of the donations received following her death was set aside to assist any members of our parish who are having financial difficulties. Members may speak to Rev. Susan if they require assistance. Confidentiality is maintained.
